Along with my first order at tower.com came Acid Bear. This page is a selection of my favorites (I know I've said that in almost every page but it's true), the tiki figure is a Ledbetter design, and I think the only Qee he's done that I really liked. The Qee with the hat and gold tooth needs no commentary, Torbjorn the boatman is another gift from my girl and makes me smile everytime I see him. The last is Killer Cat, red claws and all. A fan favorite.

The purple cat on the bottom is another Angel/Devil design, however my two favs on this page are definately the green drippy bear on top, and the pig right below him, both designed by Mad Barbarians. The kat with the pink hoodie, known as "Parka Cat" was a freebie from Tower.com, and came with every order. When I bought my very first Qees I ordered them from tower, and while I expected one parka cat with my order, I ended up getting about 20 of them, which I ended up giving out to everyone I knew that year. A cool suprise.

The venus flytrap figure is by far my favorite here, and was part of a boxed set which came with a book containing all the Qee articles which had, to that time, appeared in Clutter magazine. It was an excellent x-mas gift from my girlfriend that year. The white figure next to it came with the ball-headed x-box figure in the first picture. Several of the figures on this page are rather old to the line.

Assorted Qee from various series. The clear figure says in blue "I think I've had enough of toys for a while". The pink dog, named "Poop Dog" is probably my favorite on this page.

Okay, my only 8" Dunny, again bought at Kidrobot in Soho, is this tut figure. Seeing as it's not rare to see 2.5" dunny sell for $60, I was suprised to find this guy at $25. I snapped him up, and as cool as he is I'm glad I did.

The first three are rolito designed flocked Monqees, then Angel/Devil designed figures. These are also a couple of favorites of mine. Angel/Devil designs are beautiful, and if I had more money I'd buy some of her custom work in a heartbeat. The blue and white bears are also her work. The last two are designed by Urban Medium, also a cool design group. The Racing bear and black and white angry cat are the rest of that American Manley toys line.

The bottom left two are Heroic Rendezveus exclusives, and actually belong to my girlfriend (as do several others here, but as our Qee collections have merged they will all be included).

Ahh, 8" Qee. Now that I've just said that Dunny are expensive, here's a group of 30-40 dollar figures. The three on the right are from "Cool" magazine. The leftmost is a larger version of the Cheshire cat figures designed by Anna at Angel/Devil, and signed on the back of the leg by Anna herself.

Okay, so American-based designer toy store Kidrobot decided to make their own designer toys, and they are called Dunny. Because buying Dunny online is prohibitively expensive for some reason, I've only purchased these, and only while actually in a Kidrobot store (Soho). They're made of hollow vinyl, and roughly the same height as Qee. I do like many of them, but as I've said they are almost always more expensive than Qee.

The two tiny dog Qees are the only ones to that scale, and I believe were a part of either series 1 or 2. The rest are examples of the Toyer head. Not that I don't like the head shape, but it's often used on very underwhelming figures. The tiger one a few pages back is an exception, but here you see a general plainness.

Some of my favorites. The four up top were Toymart exclusives, the bottom four I'm to understand were released in theaters in Japan during Star Wars Episode 1 and Harry Potter. They are amongst the first Qee toys, and have gotten quite rare.

The top row and left bottom two were among the USA's only retail releases. I mostly only saw them in Canada, or from order through Tower.com. They were released by Manley Toys, and are regarded by toy snobs as among the worst designs. I love the biker and knight figures though, so those snobs can shut up. The last two are Joe Ledbetter "Toxic Swamp" figures. I find that his work translates better to toys that he has complete control of, as opposed to other people's "canvas" figures like Qee. His "Finders Keepers" figures are great.

The next several pictures are of my designer toy collection, starting with Qee. For those not familiar with the designer toy scene, Qee are little 2 1/2 inch keychain figures designed by an enormous number of different designers/companies. I won't describe every figure, but I will point out hilights. The top right figure is a promo figures for XBOX 360, the left two in the middle row were avaliable from Japanese Starbucks shops, then a Bart Simpson, a Tower.com exclusive fang wolf, and on the bottom Hellboy and Ape Sapien figures which were released, again in Japan, to kick off the Japan publishing of the Hellboy TPBS.
